Citronella benefits:

• Citronella oil repels mosquitoes and other insects, but does not kill them. Instead, it masks the carbon dioxide and lactic acid scents that mosquitoes use to find their victims. Generally, insects will have a much more difficult time locating you when you have applied citronella oil. Some resources also suggest that citronella oil repels not only insects but mammals as well, although this has not been scientifically proven.
