Basic Principles of the Blueprint Healing Program
In an effort to be transparent, we want to share the principles of the Blueprint Healing Program with everyone. If you come to us for help, these are the principles and forms that we would use to help you. You can use these forms to help yourself, but sometimes it is hard to be completely honest with yourself and what you are actually doing compared to what you perceive yourself as doing. The benefit of getting help from someone else is their experience and an extra set of eyes to see what you cannot and to hold you accountable. Some of these items are easy lifestyle changes for some people, while the same items may be next to impossible for others.
When helping a client
- Start by filling out the basic assessment form or the detailed assessment form (Available soon).
- Then have them fast for two days. The first day with no food and the second day with fruit only (drink 4 oz of pure grape juice if feeling weak). Drink your calculated amount of water both days (see below).
- Thereafter, have them Fast 1-2 days a week (thin/frail people only 1 day a week) (robust 2 days) (read CD 189.4) (Ellen White, Counsels on Diet and Foods, page 189, paragraph 4)
- Only work on one major change (like quitting smoking, alcohol, caffeine, tea, getting off of meat, etc.) at a time.
{CTBH 284} (Ellen White, Christian Temperance (EGW) and Bible Hygiene (James White),page 284 top)
{CD 284.1-2} (Ellen White, Counsels on Diet and Foods, page 284, paragraph 1-2)
{RH, August 15, 1899 par. 2} (Ellen White, Review and Herald, August 15, 1899 par. 2)
- Increase another major change every 1-2 weeks if possible (but not until they overcome the previous major one).
- Some people are willing to do it all at once, and this is okay, but higher failure rates may apply. (See CD 483.2) (Ellen White, Counsels on Diet and Foods, page 483, paragraph 2)
Forms
When the individual is ready, have them fill out the Complete Lifestyle Assessment form, then 1 to 2 weeks later, fill out the Detailed Assessment form.
Fasting
Fast one day with water only (you may do this for two days if you wish), then one day water and fruit (you may do this for two days if you wish). Grapes and apples are best for the fruit fast, have grapes at one meal and apples at another. Drink your water slowly throughout the day. If you cannot do a ‘no food’ fast only, do apples or grapes in the day, but not both – if you choose apples, it would be one type of apple for breakfast, another type for lunch, and another type for the 3rd meal. The same goes for if you choose the grapes. Also, if you choose apples for your first day, grapes should be eaten the 2nd day and vice versa.
PLEASE INCLUDE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING WHEN FIRST STARTING THE HEALING PROGRAM
Exercise
- Walk outdoors every day (early morning hours preferred but work with what you can).
- Work your way up to a minimum of 60 minutes each day.
- You may use a treadmill on days that are wet and rainy.
- You may use a rebounder (mini trampoline) on days that are wet and rainy as well.
- Read the complete document on exercise (Available soon).
- Do some form of gardening every day.

- Drink the amount of water shown by the calculation below each day.
- Sip, don’t gulp your water (drink the amount of water shown in the calculation below each hour).
- Read the complete document on water (Available soon).
WATER CALCULATION FORMULA
Most people believe they drink enough water. Unfortunately, they don’t. As a result, approximately 85-90% of people become dehydrated. You also must drink water properly. That’s right! There’s a right way and a wrong way to drink water. To ensure that people are not only getting enough water, but that they are drinking it the correct way, do the following:
AN EXAMPLE OF HOW TO FIGURE OUT HOW MUCH WATER A PERSON IS TO DRINK
Criteria
- A woman who weighs 200 lbs., but should weigh 124 lbs.
- She wakes up at 6 am and goes to bed at 10 pm.
NOTE: Page 169 of HEALTH POWER shows the weight chart. Everyone should have this book.
Health Power Health by Choice not Chance by Aileen Ludington and Hans Diehl.
If you don’t have this book, you can use one of the many online weight calculators, just know that the numbers might be slightly different.
STEPS TO FIGURE OUT HOW MUCH WATER TO DRINK A DAY
1. Divide 124 (the weight she should be) by 2 = 62.
2. Subtract 124 from 200 (the weight she is) = 76.
3. Take the difference of the two weights (76) and divide that by 4 = 19.
4. Now you add the 62 and 19 = 81. This would be your total ounces for the day.
5. Don’t forget she should drink 16 oz of warm lemon water from 6 am to 7 am (This is not part of her 81oz.). See lemon water post.
6. From 7 am to 9 pm = 14 hours. Divide your total 81 oz by 14 (the number of hours for the day) which = (5.78 rounded off to 6 oz). She would drink 6 oz every hour or a little less (6 oz = 3/4 of a measuring cup).
7. Have her measure out the 6 oz. of water and pour into a water bottle, then mark the line level with a sharpie so she will know to fill up to this line every hour.
HAVE HER SET A TIMER FOR EVERY HOUR.
NOTE: We have people stop their water intake 1 hour before bed and 1 hour after they wake up. They have to drink their initial 16 oz of lemon water the first hour and we don’t want to wake up to use the bathroom after we go to bed.
THIS IS WHY WE ARE DIVIDING 14 HOURS AND NOT 16 HOURS
NOTE: By drinking water this way, you are not only getting enough of it; you are also drinking it properly. Most people wait a couple of hours before they even take their first drink of water for the day. This causes dehydration. Also, when they drink, they gulp their water instead of sipping it, which causes the water to pass quickly through their body, still leaving them dehydrated. By drinking the water every hour, you are helping your body to absorb and store the water instead of helping flush it out.
Sunshine
- Get Sunshine every day even in the winter months and even when it’s overcast or very gloomy.
- Start with 10 minutes every day and add a minute each day until you are getting at least 30 minutes of sunshine at a minimum.
- Work your way up to getting all that you can (read CD 302.3) (Ellen White, Counsels on Diet and Foods, page 302, paragraph 3).
- Let the sunshine in every room of your house as much as possible.
- Watch the following video on sunshine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xvbT1UStoM.
- Get all the sunshine through the day that you can possibly get.
- At least an hour a day before noon is best, but do what you can if your job limits you from doing it before 12pm.
- Darker-skinned people need more sunshine than fairer skinned persons because of the melanin in their skin.
- Stay covered with thin cotton material to stay protected from skin cancer.
- Do not wear sun screen as it has cancer-causing ingredients as well as preventing the skin from making Vitamin D from the sun.
- Do not wear eye or sunglasses, so you can let the UV rays enter through the eye to help with the hormonal system.
- Read the complete document on sunshine (Available Soon).
Air
- Get all the fresh air you can every day.
- Do deep breathing exercises every day (see below).
- Keep windows in house open, especially bedroom windows.
- In the winter, keep your windows cracked at least a hair breadth. Do not keep temperature above 65 degrees in winter months (See 1T 702.3) (Ellen White, Testimonies for the Church Vol. 1, page 702, paragraph 3).
- Open your windows all day and night to let the fresh air (negative ions) kill the harmful air in your home.
- Sit, stand, and pray in an upright position to facilitate proper breathing.
- Read the complete document on air (Available Soon).
Deep breathing exercises (5 sets / 2 x day).
- Breathe in slowly through the nose. It should take 3-5 seconds to completely fill your lungs with air.
- Hold for 10 seconds.
- Exhale slowly through your mouth. It should take 3-5 seconds to completely empty your lungs.

- You may drink an herbal tea (catnip, peppermint, tilo (aka linden leaves); valerian, etc.) for sleep
WARNING: Valerian has the opposite effect on 10% of people and will keep them awake; try this as a last option if other herbs don’t work.
- You may take a warm bath for about 20 minutes to induce sleep.
- Read the complete document on rest/sleep (Available Soon).
Trust In God
- Read the bible every day as well as the spirit of prophecy.
