Simple & Healthy Vegan French Bread Pizza Ingredients

  • French bread: Use the French bread from the store that’s wrapped in plastic packaging, not paper. It has a softer crust. The bread that’s sold in the paper bag will cause it to become too hard to chew when reheated.
  • Pizza sauce: We recommend using a healthy oil free pizza sauce or even making your own.
  • Vegan cheese: Use vegan shredded cheese or our Simple & Healthy pourable cheese recipe.
  • Fresh Vegetables: Spinach, tomatoes, olives, onions, peppers

Simple & Healthy Vegan French Bread Pizza Directions

Prior to making the French bread pizza, make your Simple & Healthy pourable cheese, or you can also use shredded vegan cheese.

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. We recommend keeping the oven rack higher in the oven to prevent the bottom of the bread from getting to crispy. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or an oven liner cut to the size of the baking sheet for easier clean up.
  2. Cut the French bread in half evenly length-wise, to create two long pieces. Cut each piece in half and place on baking sheet.
  3. Spread pizza sauce over the top of each piece of the bread.
  4. Pour or sprinkle evenly with the pourable cheese or vegan shredded cheese, then finish with desired toppings.
  5. Bake in preheated oven until cheese is fully melted, about 10- 15 minutes. If you’d like it more browned then leave it in until it reaches the desired crispness.
  6. Remove from oven and when cool enough just eat!

Bible Quotes

John 6:35

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Spirit of Prophecy Quotes (Ellen White)

Bread should be light and sweet. Not the least taint of sourness should be tolerated. The loaves should be small, and so thoroughly baked that, as far as possible, the yeast germs shall be destroyed. When hot, or new, raised bread of any kind is difficult of digestion. It should never appear on the table. This rule does not, however, apply to unleavened bread. Fresh rolls made of wheaten meal, without yeast or leaven, and baked in a well-heated oven, are both wholesome and palatable…. { CD 316.4} (Ellen White, Counsels on Diet and Foods, page 316, paragraph 4)
