Simple & Healthy Vegan Spaghetti by the Blueprint
Our whole family likes Simple & Healthy Vegan Spaghetti. We just like it differently. I prefer penne noodles, while my wife prefers spaghetti noodles. The sauce stays the same. I also like to add Vegan Parmesan cheese while eating. We usually toast some bread and rub a clove of fresh garlic on it to go with the spaghetti.
Bonus Tip
*** When my sons make Simple & Healthy Vegan Spaghetti they are usually in a hurry. They take a short cut and don’t actually cook the sauce first. They just mix everything with the hot noodles, heat for a few minutes and eat. It tastes fine that way, but I prefer the taste of the sauce better when simmered. ***
Ingredients
- 1-15 oz can tomato sauce
- 1- 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1- 6 oz can of tomato paste
- 1- 8 oz whole wheat spaghetti noodles (½ of a 16 oz box)
- 1- 4 oz vegan beef flavor crumbles (ex. Gardein Plant-Based Vegan Ultimate Beefless Crumbles)
- 2 Tbsp. Italian spice or oregano
- 1 Tbsp. basil, Himalayan salt, garlic and onion powder
Directions
Mix the two cans of sauce and one can of paste with the veggie meat and spices.
Bring to a slight boil and then simmer on low while the noodles cook.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and then add the noodles.
Cook the noodles per directions on the box (approximately 11-13 minutes).
Drain noodles and stir in sauce.
Serve and eat.
